Antique Portuguese Tile
Fabulous and classical Portuguese antique tile. Done in polychrome glazes - this has a cherub\'s head at the top, with wings underneath. Measures 5 1/8\" square by 7/8\" thick.
This tile design is pictured on page 125 of the book \"Portuguese Tiles from the National Museum of Azulejo, Lisbon\".
I believe this is at least 100 years old, perhaps quite a bit older.
In very nice condition, with minimal edge wear.
