Antique/Vintage Fretwork Carved Wood Silhouette Wall Plaque Art Decor, See Below For Sale

A charming and very cool antique or vintage circa 20’s-40’s or early-to-mid 20th-century wood wall plaque featuring a pine forest and shoreline landscape. This piece uses a classic fretwork (scroll-saw cut) layering technique: a delicate black wood tree overlay is set over a hand-painted wooden background. The soft blue tones complement the warm, natural swirling wood grain left visible in the sky.

Possible carved celluloid/early plastic or bone/shell button holding braided cord, which were common on European and American decorative hanging plaques from the 1920s through the late 1930s. Faint 3 6 stamped on back as well.

Normal wear to the wooden art — some were probably just normal flaws from handmade nature. See pics!
