Argentine Cavalry Model 1898 Saber Sword + Scabbard WKC Solingen TR1502 For Sale

Here is a Argentine Model 1898 Saber Cavalry measuring 41\" overall with a blade length of 34.5\". This shows matching serial no.\'s on the sword and scabbard, A05609. Blade shows a bright finish with scattered surface pitting with the very point end showing more. Blade ricasso is stamped with Argentine Crest and Model markings and is marked, \"Cavalry Saber\" in Spanish. The opposite side shows Solingen WKC markings on it. There is also a Argentine crest on the basket/knuckle bow. Rare to find these with the crests intact, these were removed by the Govt. prior to being exported. Knuckle bow and pommel show Argentine markings. The scabbard shows a dark brown age patina and is dent free. See photos for further details.
