This is a gorgeous, large vintage Japanese Arita porcelain vase crafted by the world-renowned Fukagawa Seiji kiln. Standing at an impressive 11 inches tall with a beautiful balloon form, this vase features the iconic and elegantIwabume (Rock Plum) design.

The design showcases a gnarled plum branch twisting up from a rocky base, expertly hand-painted in vibrant underglaze "Fukagawa Blue" cobalt. The blooming plum blossoms are finely rendered in overglaze iron red, burnt orange, and brilliant gold gilding. The pristine white porcelain body is beautifully accented with bright gold bands along the top and bottom rims.
Markings & Provenance:
•Base Mark: Features the authentic hand-painted underglaze blue Fukagawa trademark consisting of Mt. Fuji, a flowing stream, and the signature characters 深川製 (Fukagawa Sei).
•Original Paperwork Included: Comes with the original Japanese paper pamphlet/insert confirming its 1,350°C high-temperature kiln firing and explicitly noting their historic status as a Purveyor to the Imperial Household Agency (宮内庁御用達).
Condition Report:
•Excellent vintage condition.
•No chips, cracks, or hairline fractures.
•The overglaze gold detailing and rim gilding are bright and intact with virtually no rub wear.
