Pat Castka Old Friends Pearle Angel Doll 2002 Signed Tagged Folk Art 7.5”
Handmade folk art angel titled “Pearle” by renowned artist Pat Castka of Old Friends, Sayville, New York. This expressive handcrafted angel features a hand-painted paper mache sculpted face, soft linen clothing, fabric wings, striped stockings, hand-painted blue shoes, and carries a whimsical feather duster or whisk accented with a brass finial and pink ribbon.
The original Old Friends hang tag remains attached, with “Pearle” handwritten on the reverse. The artist-signed button on the back is marked PC ’02.
Pat Castka’s whimsical folk art dolls are individually handmade, making each one unique. This sweet angel displays beautifully with primitive Christmas, Americana, and folk art collections.
Condition
Very good vintage condition with the original hang tag attached. The artist-signed button dated 2002 is present. It has minor discoloration and light soiling to the fabric that are likely intentional, gentle wear to the painted shoes, and slight age toning to the wings. No damage noted.
