Vintage souvenir guide booklet for the Theatre Royal, King Street, Bristol — founded 1766 and famously the oldest continuously-operating theatre building in Britain (now home to Bristol Old Vic). Original sixpence price printed on the cover. Nicely illustrated with period photographs including the original entrance, the Royal Box, auditorium and stage from the lower circle, scene-shifting gear and under-stage machinery.A great piece of theatrical/local history ephemera.
