The lid features a detailed Oak Grove landscape in rich brown and gold tones against a light luminous background. The interior is finished in traditional red lacquer with a black exterior.
The box includes its original Soviet-era Fedoskino factory paper label as well as a handwritten identification card reading “Oak grove #1417.” The factory paperwork also shows article number 1417, corresponding with the identification accompanying the box.
The underside is marked “Made in USSR” and has additional handwritten markings.
