Vintage Vernonware “Organdie” 5-Piece Nesting Mixing Bowl Set – California Pottery
Wonderful complete graduated set of five vintage Vernonware mixing bowls in the Organdie pattern, featuring hand-painted sweeping bands of chocolate brown, golden yellow and soft taupe over a creamy white ground.
Each bowl is marked on the underside:

The bold free-form brushwork and coordinating dark brown rims give this set a terrific vintage California pottery look. The five bowls nest neatly together for storage and make an especially attractive display when stacked.

Largest bowl measures approximately 9" across
8", 7" 6" & 5" complete the set.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition overall. Clean and glossy with attractive color and very nice presentation. There is minor glaze loss/chipping to the dark brown rim of the 7" bowl, clearly shown in the photographs. Light signs of age/use may be present, including a few small interior spots/marks consistent with vintage pottery. No major damage noted. Please review all photographs closely as they are part of the condition description.
These are genuine vintage pieces rather than modern reproductions, with the hand-painted decoration giving each bowl slight variations in brushwork.
