Offering my 100% genuine signature of WWII torpedo bomber pilot Lt. Cdr, HARRY C. WHITE, USN (1916-1997). White served with VT-83 aboard the USS Essex (CV-9) during WWII. He was awarded the Navy Cross for a direct torpedo hit on the IJN Yamato 7 APR 1945. His other decorations include the DFC and Air Medal. Signed 1940 USNA photo/bio. Good condition with normal signs of age. Size: 6.25\" x 4\". Obtained via the purchase of an older collector and mentor\'s estate who began collecting in the 1940s thru early 2000s. (name to buyer ONLY). This is a very scarce signature.
Read the entire listing carefully. If you have questions for something not already in the listing ask them before buying. Won\'t respond to questions where I already took the time to put the answer in the listing. Likewise I don\'t respond to questions that revolve around lowball offers. My prices are more than fair. Look at the photos as they are part of the description. Combined shipping is a given.
I don\'t use the Best Offer option due to all the low-ball offers submitted. I don\'t send offers to perennial watchers either. I will simply give the absolute best price I can from the door. It\'s the bottom line, no wiggle room price. If an item doesn\'t sell within two 30-day listing cycles it will be replaced.
Accepting want lists for military signatures. Serious buyers only. I\'m recovering from a stroke and have zero patience or wherewithal for dealing with time wasters. No low ballers, hagglers, know-it-alls, or bargain hunters. Absolutely NO supposed relatives, self-proclaimed historians/authors/curators, the merely curious, or others who think lame bargaining ploys will net them gold for the price of tin.
I am not a dealer. I am a PRIVATE COLLECTOR. I am fully retired. I have no overhead or a driving need to sell. But I have been collecting military signatures for about 60 years now. Due to health issues, I\'m offering these items solely as a means to downsize my accumulations and share with fellow collectors while I am still able to do so. I have a lot of time and money invested in my collections. I don\'t ask for full retail or top dollar, but I won\'t sell for a price that is unfair to either of us. If you want my help with your collecting I\'m here. If not that\'s the way it goes.
