Original vintage photograph dated June 12, 1930, showing a group traveling aboard the S.S. City of Birmingham from New York to Savannah in connection with the Georgia Bankers Association.
Size: 10 × 6 in.
A handwritten sign visible in the photograph reads in part:
“Good FolksJune 12, 1930S.S. City of BirminghamNew York to SavannahGeorgia Bankers Assn.”
The sign also contains handwritten names identifying a number of people in the group.
Wonderful piece of early 20th-century Southern banking, maritime and travel history. The photograph shows men and women posed aboard ship in period clothing, with the ship visible in the background.

Condition is consistent with age. There are two small punched holes near the lower portion of the photograph, along with minor age-related wear and discoloration. The reverse is largely blank. Please examine photographs carefully as they are part of the description.
