Original Gault France handcrafted ceramic Patisserie miniature with coordinating cast-metal Provençal woman figurine.
This is an original Gault ceramic miniature from the Provence collection, not a later resin version.
The building is marked:
GAULTFRANCE2000MH
The underside is hand-stamped \"328 B 22\" and also shows two unusual reversed \"3\"-like impressions. These appear to be a handmade production irregularity and add to the individual character of the piece.
Beautifully detailed French Patisserie storefront with a pastry display window, shutters, flowers, tiled roofs, stone and brick architectural details, balconies and multiple facades.
Included is the small hand-painted cast-metal Provençal woman figurine shown in the photos. She measures approximately 1 1/2 inches tall and was purchased at the same time as the building. The figure is unmarked.
CONDITION:
The ceramic building is in very nice pre-owned vintage condition. Please examine all photos carefully for condition and details.
The cast-metal woman has visible age-related paint wear, particularly on the face, along with some additional light paint loss and rubbing. Please see the close-up photos.
No original box or packaging is included.
Both pieces were purchased in France and have been part of a private collection.
